Coffee tables are the center of a home. It's where we rest our feet up after a long day, it's where we place our coffee during that morning conference call, it's what we sit around for that friend's game night and where we typically showcase our favorite flowers, candles, and books. The books we decide to place on our coffee table may not be our favorite best-selling non-fiction novels or educational in any way, but more often than not, we find ourselves (and our guests) browsing these carefully stacked books, trying to find inspiration and unwind.
We're bringing you a piece on how to style your coffee table soon but until then, there's a book every empowered woman, entrepreneur, dreamer, overachiever, do-it-all kind of gal should own. It's called In the Company of Women by Grace Bonney.
Its first sentence will surely catch your eye: "Activist Marian Wright Edelman said, "You can't be what you can't see". Visibility is one of the most powerful tools we have in inspiring people to pursue their dreams and educating them about all the amazing options that exist. My goal with In the Company of Women is to provide motivation and relatable examples of all kinds of women running their own businesses, so that any woman, anywhere, can open to a page and see herself reflected."
This is exactly what she achieved. Amongst the pages, you'll find interviews with women across the world who have launched their own business, who hustle to achieve their dreams and do what they love.
If you're in any need of inspiration to begin or motivation to continue fighting for what you want, don't hesitate to add this one to your collection.
