Acai Bowls have been around the block for a while now! And for good reason... they're rich in antioxidants and are packed with essential amino acids and fatty acids. These acai bowls are energizing, boost the immune system and with the right toppings, serve as a delicious breakfast or post-workout meal.
We came up with some amazing at-home Acai bowl concoctions and are sharing our traditional bowl recipe below!
Acai Puree Ingredients:
1 pack of frozen, unsweetened acai berry pulp
1/2 cup frozen mixed-berries
1 tablespoon of coconut milk
1/2 teaspoon coconut oil
1. Gather your ingredients.
2. Run warm water over acai berry frozen pack for 5 - 10 seconds.
3. First prepare the acai puree by adding ingredients to a blender.
4. Blend on low until large chunks are broken down. Once they're broken down, blend on high for 15-20 seconds. If puree is too thick, add an extra bit of coconut milk or coconut water.
5. Transfer to bowl (or 2).
6. Arrange toppings (granola, coconut flakes, banana, blueberries & strawberries) over acai puree.
4. Drizzle with raw honey.
