Power-through Smoothie - Recipe

"You are what you eat"... we hear this all the time. When we hear this phrase, we automatically think about our body composition and weight, without realizing it goes way beyond what we look like. It also applies to how we feel like. Our brain is directly connected to our digestive system. What we put into our bodies and what we fuel ourselves with will translate into our emotions, our reactions, our stress levels, and our ability to manage our day to day lives. It is what dictates our emotional health, mental wellness and overall wellbeing. Good news is, you don't have to change your eating habits completely to feel the benefits of eating well! By just adding a few key nutrients a day, you will feel the difference and will automatically get hooked! 


Smoothies are a perfect way to get in the necessary nutrient dense foods that, otherwise, you wouldn't indulge in. This Smoothie will get you out of a slump fast. It has all the essential vitamins and minerals you need to get through an important meeting, workout, and day (while making you feel your best in the long run).


To enjoy, blend the following ingredients together:


1 banana

1/2 cup of frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries)

1/2 cup of spinach

1/3 cup rolled oats

1 tbsp chia seeds

1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk

1/2 cup coconut water
